After the loss of an entire Battlefleet Eden taskforce at the hands of a single vessel, one of the Admiralty's worst fears has been realised - Bioficer Dreadnoughts exist. These leviathans pack extreme firepower, prodigious toughness, and a hunter's yearning for slaughter. All known variants include a substantial flight deck, quad auxiliary weapons, and the full range of prow guns available to Bioficer battleships. However, on dreadnoughts, these are merely secondary. Primary weapons are either a linked pair of Decon Annihilators or the fanged maw of the Giga Lightvice: the most potent close-action weapon known to mankind.
This kit contains multiple variants straight out of the box.
The Zodiac is the most frequently encountered Bioficer Dreadnought, although all sightings are thankfully rare, so far. These hellish leviathans pack an array of ship-killing weapons, starting with a pair of Decon Annihilators. Moving downwards, a secondary hardpoint will accept any battleship primary armament as a secondary aboard this monster. Towards the stern is typically a quad battery of Scythes. Lastly, a spinal flight deck is open to the void, ready to unleash waves of lethal bombers or nimble fighters. Nothing less than another dreadnought can hope to survive an encounter with this monster.
In 2679, the Zenith class Bioficer dreadnought is the most dreaded close-action vessel in known space. In several early engagements with admirals who didn’t appreciate what they were facing, a single example chewed through scores of capital ships and emerged victorious. The Zenith’s primary prow armament is the Giga Lightvice. This weapon’s fanged maw emits a biblical level of atomic destruction capable of rending a battleship in seconds. Like its cousin the Zodiac, the Zenith’s prow-ventral hardpoint will accept any battleship primary armament, although on a dreadnought this is merely secondary. Tertiary armament is typically a quad array of thermators—another weapon which does its killing up close. Completing the Zenith’s offensive suite is a substantial, exposed spinal flight deck.
