The armies and Grand Fleet of the Post Human Republic have completed their conquest of the Tlalocan Moons, annihilating most alien Scourge forces there and now turning their mighty war walkers onto the Bioficers.
The Type-9 Frontier Walker was designed for expeditionary operations in hostile wilderness, and it has since been adopted by the PHR’s military. Twice the height of a Type-1 Main Battle Walker, it offers superior athleticism, mobility, and flexibility at the expense of armour. Being much larger though it can absorb damage while offering extended supplies and pilot life support.
Current variants include the energy shield-equipped, melee-focused Rashnu, the multi-role Agas and Dahaka, and the fire-support oriented Mithra. All offer more tactical flexibility than traditional, military-first designs, and, despite their size, remain dropship-portable due to their lighter armour.
All variants include two RX-20 miniguns on independently traversable microlimbs and two arm hardpoints for heavy weapons. Ranged options include a combination RX-1 railgun with RX-66 flamethrower, combination RXs-77 autocannons with RM-4 missiles, twin RXs-120 smoothbore cannons, and twin RX-1000 lasers.
Given the Type-9’s dexterity and its original role in slaying mega-fauna far from ammunition supply, a range of fearsome melee weapons are available. The elegant Beastslayer Blade, the brutal Electro Gladius, and the mighty Hyperkenetic Hammer are all more than capable of dealing terminal damage to enemy vehicles.
